Permanent, part time, 10 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum, term time, plus two weeks
The United Schools Federation is seeking to appoint two Cleaning staff at Ipplepen Primary school, near Newton Abbot. Both posts will be for 2 hours per day, (10 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 15.30pm to17.30pm, term time. These roles will also require 20 hours, "deep cleaning" usually over the summer holidays- cleaning times by agreement with our Premises Manager. These two posts are at Grade A, scale point 2, paid at £11.59 per hour.
We seek two cheerful and hard-working people, ideally with experience in the cleaning trade, but this is not essential as training will be available from our senior caretaking team.
Due to the nature of the post a level of physical health is required for bending, possible awkward positions, light lifting and pushing. General cleaning duties in a specified area will be your daily routine although you may be required to change to other areas of the school as and when required.
You will be part of a team who oversee the safety, security and cleaning of Ipplepen School. Please keep in mind that school cleaning will cover many different areas including toilets as well as the usual classrooms, hallways etc.
