Platinum Recruitment is recruiting for a School Caretakers to join a well-established High School & 6th Form College in the Burton on Trent area to contribute to their friendly team on a temporary basis.

As a School Caretaker, it will be your job to help continue to support the day-to-day operational responsibility for all security activity within the school site. Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school's safeguarding and child protection policy will be a priority.
What's involved?
Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs to ensure that school buildings and facilities are in good working order.
Cleaning: Undertake cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school premises.
Security and Safety: Monitor security systems, lock and unlock doors, and conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety and security of the school buildings and grounds.
Grounds keeping: Maintain outdoor areas including playgrounds, sports fields, and landscaping to ensure they are safe, tidy, and well-presented.
Health and Safety Compliance: Implement health and safety procedures, conduct risk assessments, and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly to relevant authorities.
Assistance with Events: Provide support for school events, such as setting up and dismantling equipment, arranging furniture, and ensuring facilities are prepared for activities.
Communication: Liaise with school staff, contractors, and external agencies to coordinate maintenance works, report issues, and ensure effective communication regarding facilities management.
A valid driving license and enhanced DBS on the update service are essential for this role.
