Are you a hands-on individual who enjoys maintenance work and takes pride in keeping buildings safe, secure and well-presented? We are recruiting a dedicated School Caretaker on behalf of our client.
The Role
As School Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, security and presentation of the school premises. You will play an important role in ensuring the site is safe, compliant and operating efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
Opening and closing the school site
Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
Ensuring the school grounds are clean, tidy and well-maintained
Conducting health and safety checks such as legionella, fire alarm testing etc
Monitoring contractors whilst on site
Setting up rooms for meetings, events and school activities
Reporting maintenance issues and larger repairs
About You
The successful candidate will:
Have previous caretaking, facilities, maintenance or site management experience
Be practical and confident carrying out basic repairs and maintenance tasks
Have a good understanding of health and safety responsibilities
Be organised, reliable and able to work independently
Possess good communication skills and a positive approach
Be flexible to support the needs of the school
Additional Information
Weekly pay (PAYE)
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. Manpower covers the cost of the DBS.
The role offers an immediate start date subject to the above.
