School Caretaker

Description:

Adecco are recruiting on behalf of one of our valued educational clients in the Hindley Green area for a School Caretaker to join their team on an ongoing basis.

Start Date: 1st September

Job Type: Temporary on-going

Days: Monday to Friday

Hours: Split shift so must live local (6:30am-9:30am & 3:30pm-6:30pm)

Hourly Rate: £12.1ph-£13.50ph

Key Responsibilities

Opening and securing the school premises
Carrying out routine health and safety checks
General maintenance and minor repairs
Ensuring school grounds are clean, tidy, and safe
Setting up rooms and facilities as required
Reporting maintenance issues and hazards
Supporting site security and safeguarding procedures
Cleaning duties

Requirements

Previous caretaking, facilities, maintenance, experience is desirable
Good practical maintenance skills
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
A valid Enhanced DBS certificate is required, or a willingness to obtain one before starting
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
