School Caretaker - Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taf
Pay: £15-£18 per hour, depending on experience | Full-Time | Start Date: 2nd November
Academics is recruiting a reliable and hands-on School Caretaker to work within a primary school in Llantrisant, starting on 2nd November.
This is a great opportunity for someone with practical maintenance skills who takes pride in keeping a school environment safe, clean and well-maintained. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the school premises are ready for pupils and staff each day.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
Opening and locking up the school premises at the appropriate times.
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school.
Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, tidy and well-maintained.
Completing elements of cleaning as required.
Identifying maintenance issues and reporting any concerns.
Supporting the day-to-day running of the school site.
Helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Working Hours & Pay
Location: Llantrisant, South Wales.
Start date: 2nd November.
Hours: 6:30am-9:30am and 2:30pm-5:30pm.
Working pattern: Full-time, split shifts.
Pay: £15-£18 per hour, depending on experience.
We're Looking For as a School Caretaker
Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience is desirable.
Practical skills and confidence carrying out general maintenance repairs.
A reliable, proactive and hands-on approach.
The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
A commitment to maintaining a safe environment within a primary school.
Previous experience working within a school setting would be advantageous.
