Brighton College is seeking to appoint a School Bus Supervisor to join our committed team in the heart of Brighton & Hove. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a leading educational institution, playing a vital role in ensuring that pupils travel safely, comfortably, and with appropriate supervision.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment during school transport, providing reassurance and support to pupils while upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Hours of Work: This role will be 20 hours per week across a split shift, working from 7.00am to 9.00am and 4.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday inclusive. This will be a term-time (35 week) appointment.
School Bus Supervisor duties include greeting children with warmth and professionalism, carrying out daily registration checks, assisting pupils with seating and seat belts, monitoring behaviour to maintain safety, supporting children with special needs during the journey, and ensuring all pupils are safely handed over to their guardians at the end of each trip. It’s a role rooted in responsibility, care, and communication, making every day meaningful.

* Ability to stay calm and composed in unexpected situations
* Comfortable speaking with parents and maintaining confidentiality
