Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a partner secondary school in Northamptonshire
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Northamptonshire to recruit an experienced and highly organised Attendance Officer for an immediate start.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about improving student outcomes through excellent attendance practices. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the school's attendance strategy, working closely with students, parents, and staff to promote high levels of attendance and punctuality.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality across the school.
Investigating and following up on student absences.
Liaising with parents/carers regarding attendance concerns.
Producing attendance reports and analysing attendance data.
Supporting the school's attendance improvement initiatives.
Working alongside pastoral, safeguarding, and senior leadership teams.
Maintaining accurate attendance records in line with statutory requirements.
Building positive relationships with families to encourage regular school attendance.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
Previous experience in an attendance, welfare, pastoral, or school administration role.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience using school management systems such as Arbor, SIMS, or Bromcom is desirable.
The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
A proactive and solution-focused approach to supporting young people.
