Description:
School Accountant
3 Month contract with possible extensions
Based in Central London
Day rate up to £227.69 PD VIA Umbrella
This position has come about as a consequence of more schools purchasing support from the company. The successful candidate will be expected to support a range of schools based on the individual support the school has purchased. This could be a hybrid role depending on the individual school's needs, requiring schools visits. This could include for example
*
Transactional support – payments, month end reconciliation, VAT submittal
*
Strategic support – analysis of budgets and spend, including reporting to Governing Body and or headteachers
*
Supporting the school to develop Deficit recovery plans
*
Implementing of new finance systems - training The individual will be required to demonstrate
*
Sound knowledge of Schools Funding
*
Expertise in at least one of the following systems – ACCESS, RM, Sims/FMS
*
Strong IT skills – so ability to collate data into information
*
Must be able to work on their own initiative, but strike a balance between feedback to senior management
*
Clear and concise communication skills –both written and oral
*
Able to engage with stakeholders using persuasive language not confrontational
*
Ability to work under pressure, juggling various priorities and timelines
*
The length of the role is dependant on the continuation of the schools purchasing of our services but we envisage it will be for a minimum of 6 months
