System Centre Configuration Manager ( SCCM) Infrastructure Engineer

Summary of Role An opportunity for an experienced Data Centre Services, SCCM Infrastructure Engineer to join the core infrastructure team within the Digital Technology function. Reporting to the Data Centre service manager you will be responsible for the management, maintenance and upkeep of the Core Data Centre technologies and information systems in the UK.
This role is critical to the core infrastructure services team, requiring a highly effective individual with strong technical skills who is excited by working in a multi-platform environment and who can drive operational excellence.

Main Duties

Setup and Manage Deployments using System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Active Directory.
Provide support and in-depth troubleshooting of any issues related to SCCM (software deployments, automated builds,,patch management)
Maintain and develop existing and new build processes using task sequencing.
Ensure adherence to best practices and integration processes
Develop, build, test and maintain gold images containing operating system and core applications for distribution to virtual server and virtual desktop infrastructure,
Ensure monitoring of Data Centre hardware and software for performance and capacity, ensuring responsiveness and availability of services are maintained.
Identifies, plans, and drives maintenance tasks and upgrades in line with change management procedures and technical vendor guidelines to ensure quality, integrity and availability of IT services
Take part in service delivery processes including Incident management, Request management and Problem management.
Perform 3rd party update configuration and management
Work on assigned incidents, problems, changes, and projects
Evaluate technologies, including assessing how they may be developed or deployed to enhance end user service
Be part of and out of hours in call support rota.
Develops approaches to improve, streamline and automate the health status of the environment Candidate Requirements:

The CandidateMUSThave the following skills and experience:

Proven experience as an SCCM Integration Engineer or similar role
Experience in management of Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Configuration Manager (SCCM) infrastructure
Experience with server builds, Images and automating patch management
Virtualization (VMware),
Datacentre Server and Storage platforms
Ability to automate tasks in SCCM
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Experience managing GPOs
Experience with Active Directory
Experience in large-scale and complex environments
SCCM application deployments
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Desirable

Experience of deploying M365 products and services
Experience of design/engineering SCCM/Intune and Autopilot
Strong automation / scripting skills such as PowerShell, Python, Ansible
