Job Title: Scaffold Design Engineer
Location: Aberdeen - hybrid (3 days on site per week)

Are you passionate about scaffold design? Belcan's client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider, is seeking a Scaffold Design Engineer to join the team in Aberdeen. In this role, you'll play an important part in designing complex and large-scale access scaffolds, temporary roofs, habitats, and load-bearing structures for both offshore and onshore sites.
Job Overview:
As a Scaffold Design Engineer you will create scaffold designs that meet safety standards and allow efficient construction on various sites. Collaborate closely with clients and site teams to discuss and resolve major structural scaffold design requirements. Provide detailed design drawings, technical guidance, calculations, and structural detailing according to relevant British and European standards. Safety and compliance are paramount. Regularly visit onshore and offshore installations, conducting surveys and providing comprehensive reports to inform improvements. Build strong relationships with clients and operational team members. Assist in creating workpacks including estimating, risk assessments, and design checks.

Your Qualifications:
All levels considered! Looking for previous experience in engineering or we can accept an Engineering graduate - HND (or above) in Structural/Civil/Mechanical Engineering. Familiarity with AutoCAD software. Understanding of structural mechanics principles. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Desirable Experience:
Temporary works/scaffold design experience would be ideal. A Structural/Civil/Mechanical engineering degree. BOSIET certification. MIST certification. Medical certification. Knowledge and experience of structural analysis software. 3D CAD modelling experience.
