Salon Receptionist / Manager

Location

Niamo Nails, 2 Spring Street, London W2 3RA

Job Type

Full-time, permanent position.

About Niamo Nails

Niamo Nails is a boutique nail salon in Bayswater, London, known for its high standard of finish, warm client experience, and excellent reputation with a loyal, growing clientele. We are looking for an organised, personable Salon Receptionist / Manager to be the welcoming face of the salon and to help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

The Role

This is a hybrid front-of-house and operational role, ideal for someone who enjoys client-facing work as much as staying on top of the administrative and organisational side of running a busy salon. You will be the first point of contact for clients, manage bookings, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the salon, working closely with the salon owner and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

* Warmly greet and welcome clients, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression

* Manage the appointment booking system (Fresha), including scheduling, confirmations, and rebookings

* Handle client enquiries in person, by phone, and online, responding promptly and professionally

* Take payments and manage end-of-day reconciliations and till procedures

* Oversee day-to-day salon operations, including stock levels, supply ordering, and supplier liaison

* Support rota planning and coordination of technician schedules

* Ensure the reception and salon areas are kept clean, tidy, and presentable at all times

* Handle client feedback and any concerns promptly and professionally, escalating where necessary

* Support marketing and loyalty scheme administration, including the salon's referral and stamp card schemes

* Assist with onboarding of new staff and ensure salon policies and standards are maintained

* Support the salon owner with basic administrative and compliance tasks as required

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience in a receptionist, salon management, or customer-facing role, ideally within beauty or hospitality

* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment

* Confident, friendly, and professional communication skills, both in person and on the phone

* Experience using booking software (Fresha experience a strong advantage)

* A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail

* Basic administrative and numeracy skills, including handling payments and reconciliations

* Reliable, punctual, and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day salon operations

* Right to work in the UK

What We Offer

* Competitive salary, dependent on experience

* A supportive, friendly working environment in a well-established, boutique salon

* Opportunities to grow into a broader management role as the salon expands

* Staff discount on salon treatments
