We’re working with a well-established, fast-paced business within the wholesale and distribution sector, looking to appoint a Sales Team Manager to lead and evolve a key revenue-generating function.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a high-impact team, shape strategy, and play a pivotal role in driving both sales performance and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As Sales Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and motivating a team of sales professionals to achieve ambitious growth targets. You’ll take full ownership of the internal sales operation, from strategy and performance management through to process improvement and customer experience.

Working closely with the wider leadership team, you’ll ensure alignment with broader commercial objectives while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities of a Sales Team Manager

* Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales team leaders and executives to maximise performance

* Develop and implement a clear sales team strategy aligned to wider business goals

* Drive a high-performance culture focused on achieving and exceeding KPIs

* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and best practice

* Monitor and analyse performance data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement

* Enhance customer experience through a strong, customer-first approach

* Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, customer service, and logistics teams

* Manage departmental costs and contribute to overall business profitability

* Implement and optimise systems, tools, and processes to improve performance

About You

* Proven experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within a telesales or contact centre environment

* Strong track record of driving team performance and achieving sales targets

* Confident leader with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop others

* Commercially minded, with a data-driven approach to decision-making

* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

* Comfortable working with CRM systems and sales technologies
