RPS are working with a global manufacturer near Watford who are looking for a two Sales Order Processor's to join their team on a 1 year fixed term contract basis (chance of going perm as well). In this role, you’ll be an essential part of their mission to inspire creativity and imagination throughout the world. One of the two vacancies requires experience with Amazon Vendor / Seller (essential) while the other does NOT require current or previous experience with Amazon Vendor / seller. The opportunities are hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days from home).
Sales Order Processor - Role Overview
You’ll work on a significant number of orders with varying complexity and will be involved throughout the full sales processing cycle in an administrative and coordination capacity. You’ll be the key relation between the sales team and the internal operations; ensuring the system is kept up to date and orders are processed in a timely manner whilst customer service is maintained at the highest level.
The successful Sales Order Processor’s responsibilities will include:
• Receive new sales orders from business customers, and process sales
• Manual order entry and order review – correct price/discount, correct labelling, inventory allocation (ATP)
• Manage orders received through EDI, resolve EDI Errors
• Ensure orders are entered and released to the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaise with production teams and the warehouse to ensure orders are processed on time and in full.
• Maintain direct contact with customers and communicate and coordinate with internal departments throughout the entire order management process.
• Evaluate all relevant information to effectively handle customer enquires or complaints, including return requests and invoice queries.
• Keep written / electronic records of customer interactions, enquiries, comments or complaints
• Work collaboratively with Supply Planners for substitution/discontinuation
• Communicate with Sales on shortages/substitution and availability dates
• Liaise with Sales for price discount maintenance/order cancellations
• Liaison between Sales team for ad hoc projects and urgent customer requests
• Develop an excellent understanding of our customers and industry sector
• Establish best practices and drive process efficiencies to increase revenue within your assigned accounts
The successful Sales Order Processor will have:
• Previous experience in order management/processing, sales support or similar is required
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to connect with internal and external contacts
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency with MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail, strong sense of urgency and ownership
• Confident, self-motivated, and adaptable to change
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as the vendor community
• Experienced with ERP systems and 3PL
• Amazon vendor / seller system experience would be essential to be considered for one of the opportunities
