We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager on behalf of a unique and innovative business, specialising in the supply of materials to the construction industry.
The role:
Leading a busy sales team in achieving sales targets, business development and supporting overall business activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieving sales targets and profitability by delivering excellent customer service
* Day to day management of the sales office team ensuring the department operates smoothly, efficiently and effectively in line with company values
* Analysing sales performance, identifying trends and tracking performance against key metrics
* Making data-driven recommendations for change, improvement and growth across the sales function
* Collaborating with marketing and the wider team on sales lead generation and business development
* Providing support, direction and management of the sales office team, ensuring that processes and procedures are followed
* Support the sales office team with all sales related enquiries including product availability and lead-time, pricing and logistics queries
* Conducting annual reviews and set personal objectives, with review dates to manage and evaluate performance and productivity
* Motivating, training and developing the sales team as required, ensuring a training plan is in place for employees as part of the review process
Requirements
* Proven record in achieving or exceeding sales targets
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills
* A desire to build and maintain relationships
* The ability to work in a busy office environment
* Willingness to go the extra mile to meet business and customer demands
* Full UK Drivers Licence
