Sales Manager - Gas Insulated Switchgear

Location: London / Hybrid
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + benefits

The Opportunity

ARM is currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager - GIS to join a growing business operating within the high-voltage power transmission and switchgear sector.

This is a key commercial role responsible for driving profitable business growth and order intake across the UK, Ireland and other assigned markets. We are looking for a proactive sales professional with strong technical knowledge of Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and an established network across the UK power sector.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales and customer engagement strategies across the UK and Ireland.
Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with TSOs, DNOs, utilities, EPC contractors, BESS developers and data centre customers.
Lead pre-qualification, vendor registration and framework activities.
Review technical and commercial tender documentation and develop effective bid strategies.
Coordinate with internal engineering and commercial teams on proposals and tenders.
Monitor market developments, competitor activity and upcoming project opportunities.
Take ownership of agreed sales targets and order intake.
Support successful project handover and ongoing customer relationships.
Maintain a strong understanding of SF6 and SF6-free GIS technologies, relevant legislation and industry developments.
Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, industry events and commercial negotiations.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience in GIS sales within the electrical transmission, power systems or switchgear industry.
Strong knowledge of Gas-Insulated Switchgear and high-voltage equipment.
A proven track record in sales, business development and account management.
Experience selling to utilities, TSOs, DNOs, EPCs or major infrastructure customers.
Experience managing complex tenders, frameworks and commercial proposals.
Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills.
An established professional network within the UK power and energy sector.
Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop new opportunities.
A proactive, entrepreneurial approach to sales and business development.
