The Company

My client based in the East Riding of Yorkshire is an industry leading energy efficiency company supplying premium quality products to a customer base across the UK. In line with growth strategy the business is now looking to strengthen the senior management team by appointing a technically and commercially astute Sales Manager, with a proven track record of technical sales experience – ideally gained within the renewable energy industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking the chance to become part of a forward thinking and progressive organisation.

The Role

As Sales Manager, you will raise the business profile, establishing and maintaining strong, long-lasting, and trusting customer relationships. You will work closely with the senior management team, technical and operational staff to ensure an integrated approach encouraging an increase in sales and ongoing high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

* Work with the management team to develop and implement a commercial sales strategy with the purpose of achieving revenue targets and market expansion goals.

* Generate new business leads and seek out new potential enquiries taking the lead on building robust and successful business proposals that secure new contracts and long- term client relationships.

* Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly sales and sales prospecting activity to the senior management team.

* Forecast and track sales metrics (e.g. monthly/quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).

* Update and maintain customer and prospective contacts, internal systems and respond and follow up all sales enquiries.

* Represent the company at sales orientated events, shows, and conferences.

* Stay updated with advancements in solar technology, regulations, and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Candidate Profile and Attributes

* Proven track record of sales and business development ideally in the renewables/electrical sector.

* Technical sales experience and the ability to grasp complex engineering and understand customer technical requirements.

* Ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including Board level.

* Strong prospecting and networking skills to identify and engage potential clients.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey the value of our products and services.

* Understanding of solar technology, market trends, regulations, and financial models related to commercial solar projects.

* Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
