Astute's Power Team is partnering with a growing power solutions provider with a commitment to autonomy and commercial expansion, to recruit a UK-wide Sales Manager.

The results-driven Sales Manager role comes with a basic salary circa £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience, performance-related bonuses, a hybrid working arrangement, and a company vehicle/car allowance discussion.

Responsibilities and duties of the Sales Manager role

Reporting to the Director you will:

Develop new business opportunities within the generator rental/hire market and maximise utilisation of a fleet of 70-80 generators.
Manage and grow relationships with existing customers and key accounts across the UK.
Promote temporary power solutions, including generator hire, fuel tanks, load banks, and associated equipment.
Identify opportunities across multiple sectors, such as construction, industrial, utilities, events, infrastructure, and emergency backup power.
Maintain regular customer visits and site meetings across your region.
Work closely with internal operations and engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery of rental projects.
Provide market feedback and competitor insight to the management team while supporting commercial growth targets.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Proven sales experience specifically within the generator rental/hire, temporary power, or power rental industry.
Strong understanding of generator rental customers, sales cycles, and hire operations.
An existing network of industry contacts with a proven ability to generate new business opportunities.
Experience selling relevant equipment, such as temporary power solutions, generators, load banks, fuel tanks, or associated rental equipment.
A full UK driving licence (essential for site and customer visits).
Note: This role is suited to someone with generator/power rental experience rather than permanent power installation or large-scale project sales.

Salary and benefits of the Sales Manager role

Basic Salary: Circa £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.
Bonus: Performance-related discretionary/quarterly bonuses.
Vehicle: Car allowance or company vehicle discussion available.
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working (approximately 1 day per week in the office, the remaining time spent visiting customers/sites and working remotely).
