Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
Location: Remote – Office base is North Wales
D R Newitt have partnered with a well-established and highly respected food manufacturing business to recruit an Offal Sales Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and take ownership of a specialist product category, developing both UK and international markets. You'll have the autonomy to shape the commercial strategy, build long-term customer relationships and maximise the value of poultry by-products across a wide range of markets.
This role would suit an ambitious sales professional with experience within meat, poultry, ingredients, commodity trading or food manufacturing who enjoys building new business whilst managing existing commercial relationships.
The Role
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth across the company's poultry offal and co-product portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing the commercial strategy for poultry offal products.
* Growing existing customer accounts whilst identifying and winning new business across the UK and export markets.
* Negotiating commercial agreements and long-term supply contracts.
* Building relationships with traders, processors, exporters, wholesalers and pet food manufacturers.
* Monitoring market trends, pricing and competitor activity to maximise revenue and margins.
* Working closely with production and planning teams to forecast demand and manage product availability.
* Identifying opportunities to increase value from existing by-product streams and reduce waste.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who has:
* Sales experience within meat, poultry, food manufacturing, commodity trading or a related sector.
* A proven track record of winning new business and developing commercial relationships.
* Strong negotiation and account management skills.
* The ability to work independently and manage their own territory.
* Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
* A full UK driving licence.
Experience selling poultry offal, working within export markets or having an existing network across meat, poultry, rendering or pet food sectors would be highly advantageous.
