Job Overview: Working with our client, an established global ancillary manufacturer and supplier to UK & Ireland plastics manufacturing sectors, we are currently recruiting a Technical Sales Manager to join their team.

Remit:

* You will be a proven Sales Engineer or Sales Manager with experience in either selling ancillary, technical bespoke or turnkey equipment into the Plastics industry

* As Sales Manager you will be instrumental in building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business as well as the logistical and marketing aspects of the product’s delivery from the European HQ to the customer via the UK’s validation & commissioning centre based in the Midlands.

* You will play a pivotal and integral role working alongside the Commercial, Marketing & Engineering teams, working on plans & strategies for maximizing revenue and identifying customers within the plastics industry that can benefit from the excellent product range.

Responsibilities:

* Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business, as well as investigating further business revenue with existing customers and their sister groups.

* Plan calls as appropriate within the UK / Ireland market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.

* Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.

* Research and build relationships with new clients.

* Work to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.

* Participate in pricing and quoting the solution.

* Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the products unique selling propositions and differentiators.

* Collaborate with the machine sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets

* Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.

* Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.

* Submit progress reports and ensure data is accurate.

1. that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system

* Track sales against targets.

* Manage incoming orders and the procurement of products with the European HQ and oversee the delivery and if necessary the installation of units as required

* Manage unit inventory and loan / trial units accurately preparing loan agreements where necessary

Experience Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years’ Sales Engineer / Sales Manager experience with a technical product range in either capital equipment, ancillaries, turnkey or bespoke application discipline.

* Must have proven experience with working in either plastics manufacturing or plastics precision engineering or ancillaries supplying to the plastics industry

* Commercial awareness

* Confident with public speaking

* Motivation for sales, with strong prospecting, planning & closing skills

* Market knowledge

* Experience using CRM databases

* IT Awareness
