Description:
We are currently representing an established business operating within the heavy equipment, crushing, screening and materials-handling sector as they look to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Business Development Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in earthmoving, crushing and screening, construction equipment, materials handling or related heavy machinery.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for developing business across the North of England, building relationships with both new and existing customers and identifying opportunities to grow equipment sales throughout the territory.
The position offers considerable autonomy and would particularly suit someone who already understands the heavy equipment market and has an established network of customers and industry contacts.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing new business throughout the North of England.
Selling and promoting heavy equipment and machinery solutions to customers.
Building long-term relationships with contractors, plant operators, equipment users and other relevant businesses.
Identifying new customers, projects and commercial opportunities.
Managing the full sales process from initial prospecting and customer meetings through to quotation, negotiation and close.
Developing an in-depth understanding of customer requirements and recommending appropriate equipment solutions.
Maintaining regular contact with existing accounts while actively expanding the customer base.
Representing the company professionally at customer sites, industry events and meetings.
Working closely with the wider commercial and operational teams to maximise opportunities.
Managing your territory independently and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective business.
