Sales Ledger Clerk – Lincoln – £23,000 + Hybrid Working

Chase & Holland are exciting to be working closely with an established non-profit organisation in the Lincolnshire area, who are looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their Finance team. As the Sales Ledger Clerk, you’ll need to be confident in being able to deal with answering queries on the phone and ensuring supplier queries are dealt with promptly so there are no adverse effects on the business. This is a great opportunity for someone to come in and gain experience and progress within their career.

Cycle to work schemeSales Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:

Generate sales invoices and credit notes promptly and accurately
Ensure invoice details are accurate and maintain up-to-date customer master data
Applying the correct output VAT to sales invoices and credit notes in line with HMRC regulations
Answering customer and academy queries and ad-hoc requests
Sending statements of account or copy invoices where requested
Maintain a clear audit trail and keep financial documents secure
Applying payments received to appropriate invoices and reconcile remittances efficiently
Adhere to financial processes including prepayments, proforma invoices and management of deferred and/or accrued income
Ensure sales invoices are correctly classified into appropriate business areas, nominals and project categories
Conduct monthly reviews and reports on accruals & transactions involving related parties
Work within monthly financial closing deadlines and other reporting timelines 
Required Skills & Experience:

Experienced within working in a finance environment
Understanding of sales ledger
