Sales Executive - Meat (Hilton Cross Fresh Foods)

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience + Company Car + up to 20% bonus
Contract: Permanent, full time
Location: Hilton Cross, Cannock, 50% Office 50% home working.

This role would suit individuals with experience and expertise in sales, particularly within the meat industry. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, a proven track record of sales success, and ideally a deep understanding of the meat market, including trends, customer preferences, and competitor analysis. Additionally, candidates should be proactive, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our existing client base
• Creating fantastic relationships with our customers
• Ensure customer margins are in-line with company targets
• Effective management of relevant administration processes
• Contribute to the development of the company’s overall business strategy
• Ensuring all administration processes are adhered to
• The effective minimisation and control of waste product throughout the supply chain
• Support and promote food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity within the role

Key knowledge required:

• Demonstrable experience in the meat industry, preferably sales
• Understanding of BRC standard requirements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to build strong relationships, influence, negotiate and persuade
• Commercially focussed, capable of delivering results in a cost-effective manner
• Good standard of numeracy, literacy and IT skills
• High levels of self-motivation
• Full UK driving license
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs
• Self-starter, quick to take the initiative and spot new opportunities
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Ability to use logical and creative thinking to solve problems and make decisions
• Challenges appropriately and identifies areas for improvement
• Demonstrates integrity, a strong work ethic and upholds the company values and principles
• Ability to deal with conflict in an effective and professional manner
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Extremely self-motivated and driven
