We are recruiting an experienced Sales Executive for a successful and well-established manufacturing business based in Belfast.
The company supplies materials and processing services to customers across the engineering, manufacturing and wider industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive sales professional who enjoys developing existing accounts while generating new business.
The Role
You will manage and develop an established customer base while actively identifying new sales opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and developing existing customer accounts
*
Building strong, long-term customer relationships
*
Identifying opportunities to increase revenue and account spend
*
Proactively contacting prospective and lapsed customers
*
Generating new business through outbound calls and lead follow-up
*
Responding to customer enquiries and preparing accurate quotations
*
Following up quotations and converting opportunities into orders
*
Negotiating prices and commercial terms within agreed guidelines
*
Working closely with purchasing, operations and external sales teams
*
Maintaining accurate customer and sales information
*
Delivering excellent customer service throughout the sales process
*
Working towards agreed revenue, margin and activity targets
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, confident speaking with customers and comfortable combining account management with proactive new business development.
You will ideally have:
*
Previous experience in internal sales, account management or business development
*
A successful background in B2B sales
*
Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction supplies, industrial distribution or a related sector
*
Confidence making outbound calls and developing new business
*
Experience preparing quotations and following opportunities through to order
*
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*
Good commercial awareness and negotiation ability
*
A self-motivated, organised and target-driven approach
*
Competent IT and CRM system skills
*
The ability to understand technical products and customer requirements
Relevant product knowledge would be beneficial, although candidates with strong transferable experience from another technical or industrial sector are encouraged to apply.
