Sales & Events Manager – London - £40k + commission

On behalf of our exciting new client, we’re excited to be assisting them in their search for a Sales and Events Manager as unique as they are.

A figurehead of honest and genuine hospitality, our client has an established collection of hotels and venues with personality and character in abundance. To support our client to maximise all revenue streams, we’re looking for a Sales and Events Manager. Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, charisma, bags of energy and a passion for hospitality will thrive as part of our clients dream team.

Main tasks

* Maintain and source new corporate business (local, London, UK) to achieve the targeted occupancy

* Maintain high profile within the travel industry, nurture relationships with corporate accounts

* Conduct proactive sales calls to prospective corporate accounts

* Conduct proactive sales calls to prospective travel agents (corporate & leisure)

* Log all sales activities (calls, appointments, etc)

* Conduct site inspections and host familiarisation visits when required

* Conduct regular sales drops to engage with key account bookers to promote the facilities

* Prepare a weekly sales report to be emailed to the CEO, Director of Operations and Group Revenue Manager

* Preparation of the End of Month reports to be send out to the CEO, Director of Operations and Group Revenue Manager

* Attend weekly Revenue Meeting to discuss results versus goals

* Monitor and assess compset in order to prepare short, medium and long term strategies

* Develop and mentor the Events Team (Groups and Events Manager and Events Coordinator)

* To be flexible to carry out other duties and assignments as requested by the Senior Management

* Conduct Weekly sales meeting.

* Create and Present a Forecast for the next 3 months.

* Create and manage 13 Rolling Sales Strategy

* Manage an accurate Sales Tracker

* Ownership of Budget

Others

* Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members

* Demonstrate conduct and work performance appropriate to a 5-star operation

* Exceptional command of the English language both written and spoken is essential. An additional European language would be recommended.

* Technical knowledge of all Microsoft systems (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point) is required
