Are you a driven, new business-focused Sales Engineer with a passion for winning business? Do you thrive on opening doors, building relationships, and selling high-value technical solutions?

We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading manufacturer of automated capital equipment, renowned for delivering innovative powder processing solutions to some of the UK's biggest food and beverage manufacturers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established industry leader while playing a key role in driving new business growth across the UK.

The Role

As a Sales Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities within the food manufacturing sector, focusing on powder processing lines used in the production of:

Protein powders
Coffee
Sports nutrition products
Beverage powders
Other powdered food products
You'll be selling bespoke automated processing equipment with typical order values ranging from £50,000 to £250,000, targeting major food manufacturers and blue-chip end users across the UK.

This is a true hunter role where success comes from identifying opportunities, generating leads, and converting prospects into long-term customers.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively identify and win new business across the UK.
Build relationships with food manufacturers and key decision-makers.
Conduct cold calling, LinkedIn prospecting, networking, and customer visits.
Manage complex solution-based sales with sales cycles typically lasting 6-12 months.
Understand customer processes and develop tailored technical solutions.
Work towards an annual sales target of approximately £1 million.
Represent a highly respected market-leading brand within the industry.
About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of business development and isn't afraid to put in the work to create opportunities.

You'll ideally have:

Experience selling capital equipment, automation, or technical engineering solutions.
A proven track record of winning new business.
Experience selling into the food manufacturing, beverage, process, or industrial sectors (highly desirable).
A consultative, solution-selling approach.
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand customer production processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A self-motivated, proactive, and resilient mindset.
A genuine hunger to earn commission and exceed targets.
