Sales Engineer, Polymer Instrumentation
Territory: North of England
Salary: to £50,000, car & bonus (£10K ote)
Working for a global instrument manufacturing organisation and joining a dedicated team responsible for a range of polymer manufacturing instrumentation; this exciting opportunity represents an ideal opportunity for somebody who enjoys account development and hunting new business development.
The role has the perfect balance of a close knit team of 3 dedicated to the sales and support of this divisions products; but supported by a much larger UK based sales team selling a range of different but complementing products with huge opportunity to cross sell and add real value to customers needs.
They are looking for an experienced sales professional with a background within the polymer/plastic manufacturing industries (or closely related). Alternatively they will also consider hands-on scientists/engineers within the industry who have customer facing experience and are looking to make the transition in to sales.
The role is covering the North of England and candidates will be based within the territory; or able to relocate prior to starting the role. A full UK/EU driving licence is required and you’ll be able to travel throughout the territory ~3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
* Account Development, new business sales within industry and academia
* Develop a sales territory plan to prioritises account and ensure all customers and prospects are targeted as appropriate
* Support in pre-post application efforts with Product Specialist(s) support
* Attend regional events & exhibitions, occasionally supporting large out-of-area events
* Work closely with marketing to design, development and implement targeting (e-)marketing campaigns
* Field visits (~3 days per week)
About you:
* Degree qualified in Polymer Sci/Eng, Chem/Chem Eng, Materials or related
* Hands-on sales experience selling in to the polymer/chems market (or technical role within the polymers industry and customer interacting experience could be considered for a highly relevant candidate)
* Excellent communicator and able to promote the F&Bs of technical products in an easily digestible way with customers at all levels from the manufacturing floor to boardroom and technical to Prof
