We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join a growing engineering business, covering the Midlands. This is a customer-facing role with responsibility for developing new opportunities, managing the full sales process and building long-term customer relationships.

The Role: 

Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to order and project delivery.

Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts.

Understand customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.

Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals.

Lead commercial and technical negotiations through to order.

Work closely with internal project teams to ensure a smooth handover and successful delivery.

Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within the CRM.

Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

About You: 

Proven sales experience, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, automation or a technical environment.

Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.

Technically minded with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop solutions.

Confident communicating with customers at all levels.

Self-motivated, driven and comfortable working independently.

Strong relationship-building and business development skills.

Willing and able to travel throughout the Midlands, with occasional UK and overseas travel.

Full product and technical training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with strong technical aptitude.
