Description:
Echelon Engineers is recruiting for a growing engineering and manufacturing client. They need a Sales Director to lead their Industrial Water Treatment platform, set its sales strategy and build a high-performing team.
The Role
* Set and deliver the platform’s sales strategy, budgets and business plans
* Lead and develop a team of Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers
* Win orders that meet or exceed gross margin and P&L targets
* Build a diverse customer base and strong strategic partnerships
* Manage and grow a network of UK and international sales agents
* Present forecasts, analysis and GAP analysis to the board
* Oversee cost estimates and proposals, and work with marketing to raise the platform’s profile
* Attend customer meetings in the UK, Europe and further afield
About You
* Proven record of delivering business growth in the Industrial Water Treatment sector
* Engineering or manufacturing background
* Experience with a global customer base
* Strong commercial acumen and a confident presenter
* Business, Engineering or Manufacturing qualification (Diploma level or equivalent experience)
* Experience in related sectors is a plus, such as heat exchangers and pressure vessels, carbon capture, hydrogen, energy recovery, gas turbines or nuclear
Requirements
* Right to work in the UK
* Full UK driving licence
* Willing to travel in the UK and overseas, sometimes frequently
* Commutable to Derby (office-based when not travelling)
