Basic Salary: £35,000 to £45,000

The Role:

The primary goal is to drive business growth by effectively engaging with, promoting to, and servicing both new and existing customers. This involves developing suitable business opportunities to meet revenue targets and managing relationships with suppliers in the Urethane Intermediates sector.

Responsibilities:

* Generate new business by researching and developing opportunities with assigned and prospective customers, applications, and territories.

* Build a deeper understanding of customer needs to identify development opportunities.

* Participate in sales/operating meetings to discuss new opportunities, sales results, and future objectives.

* Stay informed about market trends, developments, and competitor activities to ensure business growth.

* Manage customer accounts receivables and work with the finance department to avoid bad debts.

* Maintain and develop relationships with Urethane Intermediates suppliers.

* Oversee the profit and loss of assigned products, submit budgets, and meet annual performance targets.

* Provide real-time business feedback to the team to keep them informed of opportunities and risks.

Objectives:

* Meet personal targets for appointments, research calls, and revenue from assigned customers and new business.

* Develop structured account management plans to support customer growth and development.

* Implement the agreed pricing strategy to exceed target prices and achieve optimal margins.

* Produce necessary reports, including customer and supplier visit reports, and follow through on recommendations and actions.

* Periodically prepare and support market assessments and strategic plans.

Skills/Requirements:

* Experience in sales, business development, or account management.

* Experience in the polyurethane industry.

* A BA degree in business or a technical field is required; a technical degree is advantageous.

* Team interaction and leadership skills.

* Strong oral and written communication skills for internal and external interactions.

* Excellent interactive and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in negotiation, organizational partnering, and leadership.

* Self-motivated, focused, confident, results-driven, and enthusiastic.

* Ability to participate in problem resolution with both internal and external partners and customers.

* Capable of managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing needs.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
