Overview
We're looking for an ambitious Sales & Dealership Manager to take ownership of a successful trailer dealership. You'll be driving trailer, parts, accessory, and service sales – building customer relationships, leading the team, and managing the day-to-day operation. If you've got dealership or senior sales management experience and you're ready for real responsibility, this is the one.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Driving trailer, parts, accessory, and service sales to achieve dealership targets
Developing and implementing sales strategies to increase market share and profitability
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across commercial, agricultural, equestrian, and leisure customers
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and manufacturers
Monitoring sales performance and preparing regular reports for senior management
Managing pricing, promotions, and dealership marketing initiatives
Dealership Management
Overseeing daily operations to ensure efficient and profitable performance
Coordinating with service and workshop to deliver a seamless customer experience
Ensuring all dealership processes comply with company policies and industry regulations
Team Leadership
Leading, motivating, and developing the sales and support team
Recruiting, training, and mentoring employees to build a high-performing culture
Conducting regular performance reviews and setting individual objectives
Promoting a positive, customer-focused working environment
Customer Experience
Delivering exceptional customer service at all stages of the sales journey
Handling customer enquiries, complaints, and escalated issues professionally
Developing long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
Monitoring customer satisfaction levels and implementing improvements
Financial & Operational Performance
Managing dealership budgets and operating costs
Monitoring KPIs – sales revenue, gross profit, stock turnover, and customer satisfaction
Preparing monthly forecasts and business performance reports
Ensuring accurate administration of sales documentation, finance agreements, and vehicle registrations
What You'll Need
Essential
Proven experience in a dealership management, sales management, or senior sales leadership role
Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills
Strong commercial and financial awareness
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to build long-term customer and supplier relationships
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
Experience within the trailer, automotive, agricultural machinery, commercial vehicle, or related sectors
Knowledge of trailer regulations, specifications, and industry standards
Experience managing workshop or aftersales functions
Understanding of finance and leasing products
