Purpose of the Role:
Working in a small team this is an all-round role that encompasses driving sales and providing excellent customer service, acting as the main point of contact for existing and new customers. Processing orders, handling queries, providing recommendations on the company’s products/services to meet customer requirements. Proactively build relations with customers identifying trends and opportunities for business growth, communicating company news and product development. Using BI data to recognise trends in customer profiles, using this information to hold productive conversations to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
General and Task Management
* Daily processing of customer orders and managing customer enquiries, making recommendations on the company’s products and services.
* Build relationships with existing customers to understand their business and buying patterns. Using BI data, focus on frequency, volume and specific ordering trends to highlight opportunities to generate additional sales and grow their business.
* Provide feedback to the Senior Management Team on activity and growth opportunities that actively drives our sales strategy.
* Participate in regular sales activity to promote existing and new products/services.
* Build strong relationships with all internal departments to support with customer enquiries.
* Update customers with order progress when required.
* Manage customer queries and process non-conformities to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Take a proactive approach to capture new customers, work closely with them to onboard and support through the process.
Skills and Attributes:
* Experienced in Sales and Customer Service, having the skill to adapt style and approach to achieve positive outcome for both company and customer.
* Commercial & financial awareness with a full understanding of how sales functions operate within a business.
* Experience of processing high volumes of orders via an ERP system.
* Excellent verbal and written communicator, with interpersonal & influencing skills.
* Analytical and numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Can manage time effectively, prioritise tasks & deliver to a high standard.
* Self-motivated, can-do attitude and driven to achieve in all aspects of the role.
* Can build and maintain effective & productive relationships with team, departments and customers.
* Positive attitude to represent the company.
Experience Levels:
* Previous experience in a similar Sales, Customer Service and Order Processing role.
* Experience of effectively managing numerous customer accounts, building relationships and Identifying trends/buying habits
* Working as part of a team to achieve targets and increase revenue
* Confident utilising IT platforms
