1st Step Solutions is a well-established recruitment business specialising in the Building Services (M&E) sector. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an ambitious Sales Consultant to join our successful Basildon office.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and wants to build a long-term career with genuine progression opportunities but doesn’t necessarily have to come from a recruitment background.
 
The Role
Working as part of an experienced and supportive team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

Proactively contacting prospective clients through warm and cold sales activity.
Developing and maintaining relationships with hiring managers and key decision-makers.
Identifying new projects and recruitment opportunities within Building Services and Construction
Arranging client meetings, both virtually and face-to-face.
Generating vacancies for our delivery team to fulfil.
Managing and developing existing client accounts.
Working towards individual and team sales objectives.
Keeping our CRM system updated with accurate information and activity. 
What We're Looking For

Previous experience within recruitment or a business-to-business sales environment.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence in making outbound sales calls.
A proactive, resilient and positive attitude.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
A desire to succeed and be rewarded for your performance.
