The opportunity

At Darwin Recruitment, we're looking for ambitious graduates to join our Billericay team as Sales Associates.
We're a global STEM recruitment business working across technology, engineering, energy, space and defence. Our sales team focuses on winning new business, building relationships with decision-makers and identifying companies that need our help.
You'll learn directly from experienced business developers, receive structured training from day one and work towards progressing into a Recruitment Consultant role.
No recruitment experience needed. Just ambition, resilience and the drive to succeed.
What you'll be doing
* Research companies, identify hiring opportunities and build a pipeline of potential clients.
* Pick up the phone and speak to hiring managers, directors and other decision-makers.
* Generate new business opportunities and book meetings with potential clients.
* Use LinkedIn, email and telephone campaigns to build relationships and open doors.
* Take strong candidates to market to create new client conversations.
* Work alongside our South African delivery team to help turn opportunities into successful placements.
* Develop your sales skills through regular coaching, call reviews and hands-on training.
Where can it take you?
* This is a dedicated development programme designed to prepare you for a career as a Recruitment Consultant.
* Promotion reviews start from six months, with the aim of progressing within 6–12 months, depending on your performance and development.
* From there, you'll have the opportunity to build your own market, earn commission and progress through our career framework all the way to Director.
* 47% of our current staff have already been promoted at least once. Your career doesn't have to stop at your first promotion.
Who we're looking for
We're interested in graduates who are competitive, confident and motivated to build something for themselves.
* A 2:1 degree or above in any discipline.
* A competitive streak, whether through sport, university, sales or another achievement.
* Confidence speaking to new people and the willingness to pick up the phone.
* Resilience, organisation and a willingness to learn from feedback.
* The ambition to work towards targets and take responsibility for your results.
* The right to work in the UK and the ability to commute to Billericay five days a week.
* A STEM degree or experience in a target-driven role would be useful, but isn't essential.
