CXC are delighted to be working in partnership with a large Builders Merchant in their search for a Sales Assistant to join the team at their Reading branch.
Responsibilities:
The Sales Assistant will be responsible for:
* Dealing with sales enquiries on a face to face and via telephone basis.
* Representing the branch and assist with the growth of the business working as a team to exceed sales targets
* Ensuring that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis
* Assisting in other roles within the branch including restocking the shop, stock control and helping in the yard
* Building and maintaining relationships with different types of customers
Requirements:
* Recent experience working on a trade counter or within an internal sales / telephone sales role
* Proactive in approach towards sales
* Outstanding communication skills
* Strong organisational and administration skills
* Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships
* Experience of operating a computer-based sales processing system (Full training for all computer and technical aspects of this role will be provided).
* Full drivers licence
Hours:
* Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:15
* Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 – 12:00
