Purpose of the Sales and Marketing Manager

As the sole Sales and Marketing Manager you will be working in a multifaceted role that combines sales, operations, and management responsibilities to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the company's transport and warehouse services. This role involves market research, campaign development, customer relationship management, and collaboration with various departments to enhance brand visibility and increase market share.

Overall, the objective of this role is to embody and elevate the brand presence, helping our client to continue to secure, exciting and lucrative business.

Main duties and responsibilities of a Sales and Marketing Manager

Sales Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company targets.
Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Identify client needs and tailor logistics solutions to meet those needs.
Handle client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
Identify and target new market opportunities and customer segments in the transport and warehouse industry.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Campaign Management:

Design, implement, and manage marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, events, etc.).
Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, website content, and social media posts.
Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as necessary.
Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the management team to develop and support lead generation activities.
Collaborate with operations, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure marketing strategies align with operational capabilities.
Communicate marketing goals, strategies, and performance to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience/knowledge requirements for a Sales and Marketing Manager

Essential to have experience of Logistics/Transport/Warehousing
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to forward plan.
Creative, with the ability to understand our brand, its values, and engrain them into all collateral, digital, social and analogue.
Passionate, unafraid to propose new initiatives/ideas.
Able to work well both independently and within a team.
Impeccable time management skills, and this ability to work to deadlines.
