System Safety Engineer
BRIEF OVERVIEW
- Role: System Safety Engineer (engineer to principal available)
- Role type: Permanent
- Salary/Rate: £30k - £60k DOE
- Working type: Hybrid/remote (1 day minimum per week on-site) / 9-day fortnight
We are looking for multiple System Safety Engineers from junior to principal level to work on various projects within safety-critical industries, such as defence and space.
There are multiple projects available to work on with plenty coming up. There is a huge focus on work-life balance, so working from home is fully acceptable if you're able to commit at least 1 day per week on site. There is also a big emphasis on training and development, with a big budget allocated just for this purpose.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of hazard analysis and logging
- Experience with FTA, FMEA/DFMEA, RCA, etc
- Able to produce safety reports and plans
- Understanding of overall systems engineering principals
- Experience with complex, safety-critical systems (Aerospace, defence, automotive, etc)
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE (NOT ESSENTIAL)
- Requirements management
- Knowledge of MBSE
- Understanding of electronics engineering and standards
- Knowledge of defence standards
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline / chartership
