Prospero Teaching is currently seeking Computer Science graduates who are interested in becoming Teaching Assistants to work at a vibrant and friendly secondary school.

THE COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHING ASSISTANT POSTS INFORMATION:
A popular school located in Westminster is seeking teaching assistants to join the department and assist the teachers and students within the classroom. The ideal Graduate will be a clear communicator, someone dedicated, a good role model, and passionate about building rapport with students.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO FILL THIS COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE:

degree qualified
GCSE Grades in Maths and EnglishHOURS OF EMPLOYMENT

8am - 4pm
Monday - Friday
Full-time ideally You will also need eligibility to work in the UK and be willing to apply for DBS disclosure.

WHAT DOES THE COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVE:

The teaching role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, 1:1 sessions, intervention groups, and working with other departments. The lessons will be delivered to all year groups Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and the desire to work with Key Stage 5 is preferable but not essential.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MY ROLE AS A COMPUTER SCIENCE GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT?
As a teaching assistant, you will be supporting 5-6 students of varied abilities. You will support the students throughout the day, supporting their spiritual, social, moral and cultural development. You will be trained in analysing data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy, and literacy tasks to raise attainment. Again, this will build your knowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed, and attainment is raised, and students are managed more effectively by teachers. As a Computer Science graduate teaching assistant, you'll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.
