Full‑time | Rural Consultancy

We're looking for an experienced Rural Surveyor to join our Peterborough consultancy team. You'll work with a broad mix of agricultural, residential, estate and rural clients, delivering Red Book valuation, landlord and tenant advice, access and rights work, and wider rural consultancy across the East Midlands.

This role suits someone who enjoys varied instructions, strong client contact, and the chance to shape long‑term relationships with farms, estates and rural businesses. You'll bring solid technical capability, confidence in delivering strategic advice, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues and stakeholders. There is also scope to support business development and help grow consultancy instructions across the region.

You'll work on a blend of new consultancy projects and ongoing work for established estate management clients, with the support of a collaborative rural team.

Key Responsibilities

Red Book valuation for agricultural, residential and mixed‑use rural assets.

Access and rights advice, including easements, wayleaves and boundary matters.

Landlord & tenant work, providing strategic guidance to both parties.

Collaboration with agency, research and specialist teams to deliver joined‑up advice.

Business development, helping identify and secure new consultancy opportunities.

Tax‑related valuation and consultancy, applying relevant principles where required.

High‑quality written reporting, including valuation and advisory documents.

Supporting a positive team culture, contributing to shared goals and knowledge exchange.

What We're Looking For

MRICS qualified, ideally with Registered Valuer status.

Strong numerical, analytical and technical skills.

Proven ability to produce clear, accurate and professional written reports.

Confident managing your own workload and working to deadlines.

Curious, proactive and comfortable exploring new ways of improving processes and client delivery.

Someone who enjoys building relationships and delivering thoughtful, practical advice.
