Are you passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing exceptional care for young learners? We are seeking a dedicated Room Leader to join our dynamic team at our nursery in East London. As a Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of children in our care, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters their development and curiosity.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a designated room within the nursery, overseeing the daily operations and ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children 3 months to 5 years old
Utilize your Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education qualification and outstanding pedagogical knowledge to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote holistic development across all areas – cognitive, physical, social, and emotional.
Actively engage with children through play-based learning, fostering their curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
Mentor and support team members, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their practice and uphold high standards of care and education.
Build positive relationships with parents and guardians, fostering open communication and collaboration to support each child’s individual needs and goals.
Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Requirements:

Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
Proven experience working in a similar role within a nursery setting, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education.
Pedagogical knowledge and a deep understanding of child development theories and best practices.
Ability to inspire and motivate a team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
A commitment to upholding safeguarding policies and procedures, prioritizing the well-being and safety of all children in our care.
