Rolling Mill Setter
Location: West Bromwich
Salary: £14.50 per hour + 22% rotating shift allowance (£17.69 p/h)
Hours: 39 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Rolling Mill Setter to join our clients team and support our continued growth.
As a Rolling Mill Setter, you will be responsible for setting, operating and monitoring rolling mill machinery to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. You will play an important role in maintaining production output while ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
Hours of Work
The role operates on a rotating two-shift pattern:
Week 1 – Early Shift
Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm
Week 2 – Late Shift
Monday – Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday: 1:00pm – 8:00pm
Total: 39 hours per week
Pay
* £14.50 per hour basic rate
* 22% rotating shift allowance
* Equivalent to £17.69 per hour while working the rotating shift pattern
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and adjust rolling mill machinery in preparation for production.
* Operate rolling mill equipment safely and efficiently.
* Carry out regular checks and adjustments to maintain product quality.
* Monitor machinery and production processes, identifying and resolving issues where possible.
* Ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.
* Complete tooling changes, machine adjustments and set-ups as required.
* Carry out routine quality checks and record production information accurately.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* Previous experience as a Rolling Mill Setter or in a similar manufacturing/metal processing role.
* Experience setting and operating production machinery.
* Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to make machine adjustments.
* A strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality products.
* Flexibility to work the required rotating shift pattern.
