Key Responsibilities

Develop and test control loops for ground and airborne vehicles using C++ and Python.
Integrate sensors and actuators using a range of communication protocols.
Support prototyping, simulation and validation of control and guidance systems.
Develop robust, high-quality software for real-world robotic applications.
Work closely with engineers across software, controls and robotics to deliver projects to agreed timescales.

About You

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Professional software engineering experience, ideally working with robotic systems.
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
Experience with ArduPilot, MAVSDK and/or PX4.
Experience with Model Predictive Control (MPC) or similar control techniques.
A strong track record of delivering high-quality robotics software within deadlines.

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be highly beneficial:

Path planning, motion control or reinforcement learning-based control.
Simulation tools such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim or MATLAB/Simulink.
Robotics frameworks and interfaces including ROS/ROS2, Serial, UART and I2C.
Sensor integration and fusion, including Kalman filters.
Real-time embedded systems.
Pybind11.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in engineers who can demonstrate impressive hands-on robotics projects, strong software engineering practices and excellent C++ coding ability. You'll need to be technically capable, practical and able to take ownership of your work while delivering to challenging timescales.

If you're passionate about robotics and want to work on complex, real-world autonomous systems, we'd love to hear from you
