PURPOSE
As a Robotics Applications Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and integration of robotics software and hardware for robotics systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test innovative solutions for machining and additive applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Form part of the Installation and commissioning team at customer sites.
Lead commissioning activities
Perform Factory and Site Acceptance Tests
Design and develop robotic systems and software applications tailored to client needs Kuka KRL knowledge desirable.
Integration of operation systems that includes knowledge and troubleshooting for common software/hardware issues in complex robotic systems and overall electric-mechanical drive system components.
Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Program and configure robots, controllers, and associated equipment.
Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure performance and reliability.
Skilled in diagnosing and resolving issues in integrated systems.
Experience with robotics kinematics, motion control, and multi-robot coordination: Knowledge of kinematic principles, motion control techniques, and strategies.
Work with the service and maintenance team to provide post-installation support services to ensure ongoing client satisfaction.
Support the development activities for consecutive projects.
Be part of the design team for system and process development.
Form part of a multi-disciplined team for Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments, RAMS.
Contribute to system documentation O&M manuals, flow diagrams etc.
EDUCATION
Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering / Computer Science / Electronics or similar engineering disciplines or equivalent time served experience
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of machinery systems, including hardware and software components.
Experience with industrial robot manipulators: Familiarity with industrial robot manipulators such as KUKA, ABB, Universal Robots, etc. Ability to interface with and program these robots for various tasks, including manipulation and assembly.
Strong Programming skills.

Must have a full driving licence.

Probation period of 6 months
