Road Freight Coordinator

Salary: Up to £32,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major global logistics business with an established international network and a strong reputation within freight forwarding. The company continues to invest in its UK operations and is now developing a newly formed office in the Bristol area.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will manage European road freight shipments while delivering a high standard of service to customers.
Responsibilities
Coordinate European road freight shipments from booking through to delivery
Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing regular shipment updates
Build strong relationships with customers, carriers and overseas partners
Negotiate rates and book transport with approved carriers
Prepare and check relevant import and export documentation
Track shipments and resolve delays or operational issues
Maintain accurate shipment records and prepare completed files for invoicing
Support the onboarding and development of new customer accounts
Requirements
At least one year of European road freight experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
A good understanding of road freight operations
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
A proactive approach to problem-solving
Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams
Additional language skills would be beneficial but are not essential
