Housing Reviews Officer
Location: Berkshire
Rate: £32-34
Contract: Temporary, Full Time
Hybrid: 1 day in the office
Key Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience carrying out Section 202 and Section 204 Housing Reviews.
* Strong knowledge of the:
* Housing Act 1996
* Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
* Relevant homelessness legislation and case law
* Experience producing legally robust review decisions.
* Ability to manage complex cases and review representations from applicants, advocates, and solicitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct statutory and non-statutory reviews of housing decisions.
* Investigate cases thoroughly and assess all available evidence.
* Prepare clear, detailed, and legally compliant review determinations.
* Ensure compliance with housing and homelessness legislation.
* Liaise with applicants, legal representatives, and partner agencies.
* Maintain accurate case records and produce reports as required.
* Contribute to service improvements and policy development.
* Represent the organisation at meetings and hearings when necessary.
Ideal Candidate
* Experienced Housing Reviews Officer with a proven track record of completing Section 202 and Section 204 reviews.
* Strong written decision-making skills.
* Confident interpreting housing legislation and case law.
* Able to work independently and manage a busy caseload
