Description:
Our client, an exciting private-equity backed brand, currently going through an exciting period of change and transformation, has a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Revenue Accounting Manager to join its talented team.
We're looking for someone who thrives in an evolving environment and has a passion for using technology to drive process efficiency and accurate revenue recognition. This is a hybrid role with 3 days expected in the office.
Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with other senior finance colleagues to develop, implement and maintain revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS15
* Working with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment for revenue streams
* Providing leadership into revenue related tech
* Identifying and assessing risks and implementing strategies to mitigate
* Communicating complex revenue recognition accounting concepts to non-finance and provide guidance
* Developing the team of 3 direct reports
* Working closely with the Finance Systems Team to develop functionality
Key skills and experience required:
* Qualified Accountant
* Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards and knowledge of cost accounting principles
* Exposure to the audit process relating to revenue recognition and working with auditors
* Ability to collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and legal, to understand business transactions and ensure proper revenue recognition.
* Strong problem-solving skills to address financial challenges and optimize financial performance
* Capacity to think strategically and contribute to long-term financial planning aligned with organizational goals.
* Demonstrates strong leadership skills and adhere to high ethical and professional standards.
