Description:
BDS are currently recruiting for a Sheltered Housing Advisor for a retirement living service based in the Lytham - St - Annes area. (FY8)
We are looking for someone with a friendly and happy demeanour to be the first point of contact for the residents of the service.
Temporary ongoing contract with opportunity to become permanent.
Part time position working 12 hours a week over 2 days (Thursday and Friday ideally) (flexible)
(hours are to increase to 20 hours a week if permanent)
£14.26 per hour PAYE / £16.£17 per hour UMB
Speaking with the residents daily
Signposting information on other services, in and around the area.
Checking the property for any repairs and reporting these as required,
Overseeing the service to ensure the smooth running.
Involving the residents in activities within the service
Arranging activities for the residents of the service, fish and chip nights, scrabble nights or even a game of cards,
Health and safety checks and fire alarm panel checks,
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of IT and systems
Previous Housing experience preferred, managing tenancies and void propertied etc
Easy to approach and be able to chat easily with residents (and have a cup of tea or two)
