Retail Donation Centre Manager

Are you looking for a full-time Retail Donation Centre Manager opportunity that promises to give you a sense of purpose and fun in a hard-working, values-driven and people-focused team?

​This is an opportunity for a commercially aware, full-time Retail Donation Centre Manager to join our retail team. In this busy and varied role, you will be responsible for the efficient management of donated goods within the warehouse and coordinating their distribution across our Retail shops and to our customers. This role involves stock management, organising distribution logistics, and supervising Distribution Centre staff and volunteers.

About Big C

As a local cancer charity, Big C are dedicated to supporting anyone affected by cancer in Norfolk and neighbouring counties whilst working with key partners in research and healthcare to improve future outcomes.

Big C has raised over £40 million since the charity was founded in 1980; £20 million in the past seven years alone. On average, £3 million is raised each year by Big C’s loyal supporters. Income is also generated via our Big C charity shops across the region.

There are an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime. Big C seeks and implements new approaches and projects to make sure that no one is missing out on the opportunity to access our support.

About the role

If you have experience in retail, are able to manage a team and are looking to make a difference this could be ideal for you. The kindness of people is the only way that we can make a difference in the local community, and you can help us achieve this through being resourceful and responsive to the needs of volunteers and customers.

The working hours are 35 hours per week to be worked over 5 days, usually Monday to Friday. However occasional weekend or evening work may be required from time to time. The salary from 1st April 2024 is £22,300.38 to £25,140.84 per annum, subject to skills and experience.
