Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth and development of my clients retail operations during a key period of expansion.

The Retail & E-Commerce Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the clients online shop and support the launch and operation of an on-site pre-loved retail shop. The role will ensure effective stock control and inventory management across sales channels, coordinate purchasing activities, and maintain strong relationships with outsourced fulfilment providers.

The postholder will also recruit, coordinate and support volunteers who help operate the pre-loved shop, ensuring a positive volunteering experience while maximising sales and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

* Support day-to-day online, onsite and pre-loved shop operations.

* Maintain accurate stock records, availability and inventory control.

* Process customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally.

* Raise purchase orders and maintain product and supplier records.

* Coordinate with fulfilment providers and manage stock movements.

* Support product sourcing and merchandising to maximise sales.

* Monitor shop performance and provide stock and sales insights.

* Recruit, train and support volunteers, including rota management.

* Maintain high standards of presentation, customer service and shop operations.

* Contribute to a positive customer and volunteer experience.

Person Specification

Essential Experience

* Experience within a retail, e-commerce, stock control or inventory management environment.

* Experience maintaining accurate records and managing administrative processes.

* Experience delivering excellent customer service.

* Experience working collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers or external partners.

* Experience prioritising workloads and working independently.

Essential Skills & Knowledge

* Strong organisational and time-management skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good understanding of stock control and inventory management principles.

* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to build positive relationships with volunteers, suppliers and colleagues.

* Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Experience

* Experience with shopify useful but not essential

* Knowledge of visual merchandising and retail display techniques.
