Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager at this stunning coastal hotel near Polzeath.

As Restaurant Manager you will ensure that the restaurants achieve their financial goals and create an atmosphere where customers enjoy a relaxed, calming, and exceptional dining experience. You will also manage the team, ensuring their well-being, standards, service, and morale remain high.

This is a full time permanent position offering an annual salary of £30,000 based on a 40 hour contract plus fantastic company perks, benefits and gratuities.

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to)
1. Maintain restaurant standards by recruiting, selecting, and training staff, clearly communicating job expectations, and monitoring performance standards. Conduct comprehensive training and inductions for all team members.
2. Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
3. Prevent legal issues by ensuring employees are properly trained and understand their responsibilities.
4. Monitor team welfare consistently through regular one-on-one meetings and quarterly performance reviews.
5. Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy environment in compliance with all relevant legal regulations.
6. Maintain the restaurant’s ambiance by managing lighting, background music, linen service, dinnerware, and overseeing food presentation and service.
7. Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to create a harmonious working environment through daily briefings, menu tastings, and cross-department training.
8. Build and nurture relationships with guests, particularly members, regular hotel guests, and new visitors.
9. Lead and contribute to the team effort.
10. Act as Duty Manager once a week, including an overnight stay.
11. Maintain a positive working environment and address staff needs as necessary.
12. Work with the marketing team to drive sales and boost business.
13. Collaborate with all departments to ensure the success and realisation of the Hotel's vision
