Hours: 8:30am - 3:15pm (6 hours 15 minutes), term time only
Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference to children with additional needs?
We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school resource base in Melksham, supporting primary school children with SEND. This is a rewarding opportunity to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally within a specialist setting.
The Role
Support primary children with a range of additional complex needs.
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
Provide one-to-one and small group support.
Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage children's independence, confidence and social development.
Follow safeguarding, behaviour and school policies at all times.
Be able to use your initiative to respond to children's needs.
We're Looking For
Experience working with children, ideally within a school, nursery or SEND setting.
A calm, patient and positive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
We welcome applicants with transferable experience from care, youth work or similar roles (experience is not essential).
What We Offer
£89.03 per day.
PAYE employment - no umbrella company deductions.
